Pre-Camp is composed of three 1-week sessions. Pre-Camps with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled. Parents will be notified and offered other options.

Campers will begin their summer with arts, games, sports, and more! Make sure to start your summer off right by coming to the JCC!

Jump Start to Fun
Entering grades Kinder-1

 

Children will enjoy arts, games, sports, swimming, and more! In a friendly and developmentally appropriate manner, campers will learn about J-Camp and what to expect over the summer. This camp is designed for children who are transitioning from Pre-K and Kindergarten.

Play-Doh Science
Entering grades 1-3

 

Campers will explore science creatively through Play-Doh. Staff from Fastforward Kids will lead campers through explorations of dinosaur adventures, volcanoes, the solar system and other themes throughout the week. Campers will also swim daily.

Tennis Pre-Camp
Entering Grades 2-8

 

Jump into summer swinging a racquet and serving Aces! Campers will experience instruction, drills, games, and matches on the JCC outdoor courts,  in addition to cooling off in the pool each day.

Photography in Focus
Entering Grades 6-9 • Led by BRIDGE

 

Campers will explore the world of photography, capturing moments by learning how to use cameras and creating vibrant photographs. Artists, art lovers, explorers, and young creatives will work together to produce a stop-motion video. Campers will also swim each day.

*Bridge Projects engages adults and children in the process of making art to foster new skills, confidence, and creative outlets. Owners Stuart Allen and Cade Bradshaw are accomplished artists who often use photography to execute their varied works.

Wild Side
Entering Grades K-1

 

Campers will explore the wild side of nature with games, arts, and activities centered on animals. Plus, children will enjoy camp activities such as sports and swim time!

Hot Wheels Adventure
Entering Grades 1-3

 

Tracks, obstacle courses, and cars aplenty await campers as they use Hot Wheels to explore the world of math and physical science. Campers will also swim daily.

Chess Masters
Entering Grades 2-6 • Led by Complete Chess*

 

Chess lessons, puzzle competitions, blitz games and strategy tips will round out this exciting camp. The coaches from Complete Chess will teach new skills useful to both first-time and experienced players. Campers will also swim each day.

*COMPLETE CHESS: From beginner to intermediate chess learners, Complete Chess offers a flexible curriculum to help students improve their game. 

Theatre 101
Entering Grades 2-6

 

Campers of all ages and levels will have the opportunity to explore the theatrical arts. Campers will participate in theatre and movement games, creative dramatics, scene performance, play reading, and more. Campers will build confidence, creativity, and appreciation for the performing arts. In addition, campers will swim each day.

Tennis Pre-Camp
Entering Grades 2-8

Video on Demand
Entering Grades 6-9
 

Budding technophiles, YouTubers, and drama lovers will enjoy directing, filming and starring in their very own video short under the direction of the artists from BRIDGE. Campers will also swim each day.
