NAVIGATOR IN-TOWN CAMPS

Entering Grades 7-9
Eight 1-week sessions: June 15-August 7 (No Camp July 4)
For youth entering grades 7-9. Navigator Camps are designed for teens and their busy schedules, allowing the flexibility to select which weeks to attend. Campers participate in two field trips to local attractions each week and two overnights during the summer. Navigators also spend time at the JCC, in the Youth Lounge, at the pool, in the gym, and with the J-Camp specialists. Navigators participate in select all-camp programs, including Wacky Wednesday and Kabbalat Shabbat.
NAVIGATOR OUT-OF TOWN CAMPS

Entering Grades 7-9
1-week session: July 21-24: Austin
For youth entering grades 7-9. Traveling Navigators have the chance to explore other cities, spending time at museums, attractions, parks, and other exciting sites. Fee includes meals while out of town, lodging, activities, chaperones, and transportation. Monday will be spent at the JCC; campers will be out of town Tuesday-Friday.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING

For youth entering grades 9-10. CITs assist counselors with camp groups in order to learn what it takes to be a high-quality J-Camp staff member. CITs build leadership skills and learn strategies for working with children. Preference for Junior Counselor positions in future summers is given to those who successfully complete the CIT program.
The CIT leadership program is a two-week commitment; applicants may choose between one and four sessions. Fee includes leadership training, a CIT-only field trip, a camp T-shirt, and a small stipend (per session) for perfect attendance and consistent high-quality performance.
To become a CIT, complete an online application through the registration system by May 1. Interviews will be scheduled after registration is submitted but before May 15. CIT Training is mandatory and will be held Sunday, May 17. Space is limited and placement is not guaranteed.
